Carolynn Beck

Carolynn Beck is the partner-in-charge of the D.C. office, and the firm’s general counsel. She is an experienced litigator and trial attorney licensed in California, the District of Columbia, and Virginia. Her experience ranges from complex business litigation, general liability, and wrongful termination to sexual harassment and real estate disputes. Prior to joining Pierce Bainbridge Beck Price & Hecht LLP, Carolynn worked for Murchison & Cumming LLP, an AV-rated “go to” law firm for litigation in California and Nevada. At Murchison & Cumming, Carolynn practiced civil defense, business litigation, insurance defense litigation, and employment litigation. She has counseled and advised countless business owners and employers and has represented clients ranging from individuals to Fortune 500 companies.

Carolynn earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations from the University of Washington. She is a graduate of the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where she was an editor for the Southern California Interdisciplinary Law Journal and president of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. She served as an extern for the Honorable H. Walter Croskey of the California Court of Appeal.

Carolynn is in the inaugural class for a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Litigation Strategy and Management at the Baylor University School of Law (anticipated graduation date of November 2019). This advanced post-doctoral program is designed for today’s legal leaders. The program centers around the directing of effective litigation strategy by leveraging innovative technology, team management, and project management concepts. Carolynn's participation in this program aligns with Pierce Bainbridge’s ethos of efficiency and innovation to obtain the best litigation results on the modern-day litigation battlefield.

Carolynn serves as a member of the Board of Governors for the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, and volunteers on the Governance Committee for the Military Spouse JD Network. She previously served as a public interest fellow for the Norfolk, Virginia Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney.
