Jeff is a pragmatic, aggressive litigator with experience helping financial institutions, technology and insurance companies, and individual litigants confidently navigate complex civil litigation, internal investigations, and scrutiny from prosecutors and other regulators. Jeff has litigated on behalf of clients as both a plaintiff and defendant in state and federal courts across the country, including having served as lead trial counsel in a civil rights lawsuit tried to a jury verdict in federal court in New York. Jeff has also represented clients in pre-litigation investigations and negotiations with the Department of Justice, the Office of Foreign Assets Control, the New York Attorney General, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and others.
Before joining the Pierce Bainbridge Beck Price & Hecht LLP, Jeff practiced at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP in New York, and also served as a law clerk to the Hon. Wilfred Feinberg (Ret.) of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, as well as the Hon. Paul A. Engelmayer of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
