Jim Bainbridge

Jim Bainbridge — the Co-Managing Partner of Pierce Bainbridge P.C. — is a graduate of Harvard Law School. At Harvard Law School, he was “Captain” of the Marshall Club and a finalist and prizewinner in Harvard Law School’s highly prestigious Marshall Club Ames Moot Court Competition.

Jim graduated with the highest GPA in mathematics in his university undergraduate class and was awarded the “High Scholarship Student Certification” for the “Highest Scholarship Record” in mathematics. He was then awarded a three-year, fully paid National Science Foundation Fellowship for graduate studies in mathematics. He went on to earn his Master’s Degree and PhD Candidate Degree (C. Phil.) in mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley. He was also an Instructor in mathematics at UC Berkeley before attending Harvard Law School.

After graduating from Harvard Law School, Jim worked for the national law firm McKenna & Fitting, which became McKenna Long & Aldrich. He has been a member in good standing of the State Bar of California for 40 years.

Jim has authored and published 14 law-related books, including California Real Estate Principles and License Preparation. As the law firm’s Co-Managing Partner, he focuses on reviewing the firm’s incoming cases, on assisting his colleagues in strategies and tactics with respect to certain ongoing cases, and on trying to maximize the potential of cases while minimizing their expenses and risks.
